About Blue Mountains
Good Day Guys,
Only if you really think about accommodations?! We have more detailed information about
Blue Mountains National Park
Something truly special lies within this World
Heritage Blue Mountains region that gets into your blood.
Could be the mist of eucalyptus oil hanging
over the valleys, or the cliffs glowing gold at sunset while birds fill the
valleys with their evening song. Whatever it is, every
time I leave Sydney behind and drive west toward the mountains’ fading light, I’m reminded that this park is one of the most breathtaking places in all of Australia.
I’ve been showing visitors the magic of this region — from famous lookouts like Echo Point to underground cave systems to open valleys — for years, and trust me, the Blue Mountains are more than a day trip.
They’re a natural reset button for anyone coming from Sydney, a natural cathedral
of sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and gum-scented air.
Only an hour and a half west of Sydney via the Great Western Highway,
the region is part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
It’s over one million hectares of preserved wilderness, extending
right out to Wollemi National Park. It’s a patchwork of steep gorges, rainforests and eucalypt
forests, home to over 400 species of Australian animals,
featuring lyrebirds, wallabies, and even the rare dingo.
